Paul Long has enjoyed a successful law career as an attorney in Stanford, Ky. He served as Lincoln County attorney from 1990-1997 and is currently on the Lincoln County Industrial Board. Long was a student at Lindsey Wilson College from 1973-75. During that time he served as president of student government, he was nominated as Mr. Lindsey Wilson and he was on the men's basketball team. He has a rich history that spans more than 40 years with the College. His mother, Bettye M. Long taught education courses at LWC during the 1980s. His son, Jared, is a 2011 graduate. Long has a passion for the Lindsey Wilson mission and its students and has been an avid supporter since he graduated in 1975. He and his wife, Carol, have established an endowed scholarship in honor of his parents, James P. and Bettye M. Long. The scholarship is designated to support junior and senior education students from Lincoln County. Mr. Long and his family reside in Stanford, Ky. and in his spare time he enjoys golf and exercise. Jeni South-Huff honored in LWC Athletic Hall of Fame 2016-09-29 - Photo from LWC public relations. Jeni South '04 is honored in the LWC Athletic Hall of Fame - Cycling (1997-2002). She captured the National Collegiate Cycling Association women's dual slalom national championship in 1997. She is the first Lindsey Wilson female student-athlete to win an individual national title in the school's history. South-Huff was a four-time Midwest Collegiate Cycling Conference dual slalom champion. She helped LWC cycling to the 2000 and 2001 NCCA Cyclocross National Championship. Dr. Ross Martin is LWC Outstanding Young Alumnus 2016-09-29 - Photo from LWC public relations. The LWC Outstanding Young Alumnus is Dr. S. Ross Martin '05. He was the first student to graduate from Lindsey Wilson College with a contract major in biopsychology. He was named a John B. Begley Scholar, the institution's highest merit scholarship. Martin was a member of the 2001 national championship men's soccer team and was named an NAIA academic all-American in 2003 and 2004. He met "the love of his life", Leigh Ann Collins '05 Martin, at Lindsey Wilson and they will soon celebrate their 10-year anniversary. They have two children: Addison and Lucy. His family is actively involved in their church in Oklahoma City - Crossings Community Church. She received a bachelor's degree in biology with a minor in chemistry from LWC. Some of her fondest memories from LWC are of her time spent as a member of the Lindsey Wilson Singers and Concert Choir. She was a founding member of Living in Faith Eternally (LIFE) a faith-based group that organizes weekly worship services for the campus. She mentors women through an initiative called IamaWomanInSTEM at UK -- a program that encourages women to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics. Almost every business graduate of LWC since the early 1990s has taken a business class taught by Mohammad Pourheydarian. As one of the longest-serving active professors - he is a respected member of the college's faculty. He has more than 30 years of experience teaching finance, international business economics and management. Pourheydarian combines real world issues with hands-on casework to provide relatable examples for complex economic theories. He also serves as an instructor in Lindsey Wilson's recently launched online Master of Business Administration (MBA) program. For more than 25 years, Dr. Pourheydarian has personified the mission of Lindsey Wilson College with his continued dedication and commitment to generations of Lindsey Wilson students. Haley won a pair of National Collegiate Cycling Association individual national championships during his time at Lindsey Wilson. He captured the men's dual slalom national championship in 2000 and the downhill national title in 2001. He is the first Lindsey Wilson male cyclist to win an individual national title and the only cyclist to own two individual national titles. Joe helped Lindsey Wilson cycling to three straight top-five finishes at the NCCA Mountain Biking National Championship.
