The Red Bridge: Sulpher Creek Road, McGaha, KY 2016-10-10 - Sulpher Creek Road, McGaha, District 1, Adair County, KY - Photo by Linda Waggener, ColumbiaMagazine.com (c). The upper bridge at McGaha has a fresh coat of red paint. Here, coming from the Millerfields, motorist have a choice, across the bridge, of taking a right to McGaha central district, or a left to Chestnut Corners. The bridge was completed in 2011, and mark a change in construction style in Adair County. This bridge has a flat bed with no siderail concrete curb and weepholes; instead steel rails were installed to protect motorists. The change dramatically reduced pooling on the deck of the bridge.
