Fall Color 2016: A splash of red against green, Liberty Hill Road
2016-10-30 - Liberty Hill Road, near Ten Gallon Drive, Columbia, KY - Photo by Linda Waggener, ColumbiaMagazine.com (c). We suspect this artistry is the work of the Master Landscape Architect, but wouldn't it be nice if terrestrial professionals could recreate this scene of crimson Sumac against black green eastern red cedar and a still green hardwood? The too often maligned golden Broom Sedge makes a beautiful complement, doesn't it? The picture was taken along one of the very few vacant lots in the stunning beautiful subdivision in Magisterial District 2, just outside the Columbia City limits. - EW

Kentucky Color: Southern Engineering
2016-10-30 - ????? - Photo by Billy Joe Fudge. Some time back Libby and I were eating a fine and let me emphasize, fine meal, at a restaurant in a nearby Southern State. Although their shutters are of the decorative, non-functioning persuasion, I could not help but notice that they were surely mounted on Monday morning by an employee who undoubtedly had a really trying weekend! Can you spot the visual anomaly? - Billy Joe Fudge
