Firefighters battle huge fire at William Burton residence, E 80, Columbia, KY

Firefighters, including the Adair County Fire Department, the Breeding Area Fire Department and possibly others were battling a fire which had heavily damaged the residence of William and Carol Burton this morning between 9:30am & 10amCT, Wednesday, October 31, 2016. Traffic continued to flow, directed by Sheriff Harrison Moss of the ACSO and former Adair County Judge Executive and Adair Progress assistant editor Ann Melton. Dean scored eight-straight points - hitting a layup and a pair of 3s - pushing Campbellsville University out to its largest lead of nine points, 43-34 with 15:45 left, but the Tigers' effort fell just short, 71-68 in a loss at Harris-Stowe University in St. Louis, MO. - Jordan Alves
