Especially in a personal first time discovery of Allen Sparks Road at Kristy Lane, with two inviting alternatives. It's not really clear from the signage which road is Kristy Lane and which is a continuation of Allen Sparks Road, and I can't vouch for the road to the left. Me, I took the one which appeared to be less intrusive on the privacy of this very secret discovery. But, unlike the poet's choice, it did not make all the difference. The difference was knowing that no matter how broadly - and a few might say shallowly, one travels - there's almost no way to know all one would want to know in a few hundred square miles of South Central Kentucky. And one would wonder, on a day like today, why would anyone want to go anywhere else. From the Burkesville Road bridge, background, travelers look down on the silo. But from Harrods Creek loop, the silo appears to tower over the bridge. Since JIM brought it to light, that the community of Elroy, KY was once a thriving town, and was located beyond the bridge and that it was once the top consideration of Lindsey Wilson College after plans to locate it in Burkesville fell through, the silo has become a memory tickler to recall that nugget of information that all perpetually nine-year-old boys like to know. Good times for consumers - Gas below $2 a gallon again. Photo Sun 6 Nov 2016. Badly needed with so much to see on another absolutely fabulous fall day in South Central Kentucky. Yes, a lot of Fall fell overnight. But there were still gorgeous spots of remaining fall color, as a grand time arrived: Winter time windows on places hidden during the rest of the year.
