Inside the VFW, the blue building in the foreground, was what appeared to be one of the largest gatherings ever for the annual Columbia Super Walmart/United Citizens Bank breakfasts. The parking lot, and nearby parking areas had some 140-150 vehicles at the time this photo was taken. Mementos of the fairground are quickly being removed, with, here only one section of bleacher seating remaining. A new VFW Post 6097 is being built in a prominent location at 500 Green Hills Road.
