A Dream Coming True - Just one year ago, on December 24, 2016, CJE Mike Stephens and Mike Neal announced their construction concept for Pinewood Shopping Center (See: Pinewood Shopping Center coming to Adair County in 2016), a GRMH, LLC. Now is nearing completion of the construction phase, and with much of the property already leased, the marketing phase for available space is underway. The photo above was taken several days ago, and since then more progress has been made.

The three story, 66 room, 13 suite Sleep Inn & Suites is open today, Friday, December 30, 2016, according to Mike Neal, a partner in TMT Properities along with Tommy Grider and Terry Harvey. The Sleep Inn & Suites hotel is franchised by Choice Hotels International (NYSE: CHH), one of the world's largest lodging franchisors. Choice franchises more than 5,000 hotels under the Comfort Inn, Comfort Suites, Quality, Clarion, Sleep Inn, Econo Lodge, Rodeway Inn and MainStay Suites brands in 46 countries. Epicurean Kentuckian: Vegetable beef soup

The soup was purchased as a single take out, but turned out so surprisingly perfect a second cup was ordered to go and owner Brenda Crumpton graciously brought out a bowl for this cellphone photo. The Frank's is there just for comfort. No condiments were needed or added. Don't remember the exact price, but it was roughly $8 for two servings. - EW.
