There was an understanding, though not a word was spoken by the Great Pyrenees and the photographer. The eyes of the one never lost contact with the other. While the photographer did her job in a non-threatening way, the great dog did the work of posing. Still one would have expected that any movement toward its territory, without its master's consent, might have been construed as a hostile act, with swift retribution. Maybe not.
