Pierre Boucher, statue at Quebec Parliament
2017-01-29 - Quebec, Canada - Photo submitted by Billy Joe Fudge. This statue of Pierre Boucher stands at the Quebec Parliament. Adair County's very own Lucy Clark Demumbrunn's Great, Great, Great Grandfather gained a victory which reversed the sure destiny of the failing and threatened French Colony of the Saint Lawrence River/Lake Ontario area. This allowed the French settlements of New France to not only survive but grow into the great nation of Canada. - Billy Joe Fudge

Scenic Taylor County, KY: Through the woods above Brush Creek
2017-01-29 - Wise Road, Taylor County, KY - Photo by Ed Waggener, Columbiamagazine.com(c) . The narrow trail which is Wise Road, is smooth as glass, delightfully narrow and winding, but requires, at places along the way, one way pages. Still, for a first time know-your-counties better day tripper, it beckons one's curiosity about what's around the next bend, whether the woodland will continue like Pooh Bear's 100 acre wood. The roadway is unusually clean, and one wonders the secret. - EW

Tillie, at Hailey's Birthday Party, a bit wary of Churchill
2017-01-29 - Shelby County, KY - Photo by Granddad, Ed Waggener. Tillie, secure in her dad's arms, was happy to be a Cousin Hailey's Birthday party, but a bit tentative about Churchill, still in his Tigger-bouncy puppy stage. - EW

Scenic Cumberland, Adair, & Metcalfe Co's. KY - Renox Fire Tower
2017-01-29 - Dividing Line Road, Breeding, KY - Photo by Linda Waggener, ColumbiaMagazine.com (c). "Renox Fire Tower (another view, above, in Snow Skiff of late Jan 2017, seen from KY 61 S. of Breeding), which is no longer in use by the Kentucky Division of Forestry and is located directly over the intersection of Adair, Cumberland and Metcalfe Counties. The tower is actually standing in all three counties and commands a splendid view of the surrounding area from Burkesville to Edmonton to Sparksville and to the dividing ridge between Cumberland River and Crocus Creek." Quoting Billy Joe Fudge, in another view at Tower Two, Renox Tower: Cumberland, Adair, Metcalfe Counties
