The Theron Akin Road Bridge has Adair County signature red guard rail approaches and the road is newly blacktopped and looking great. It is the first and only bridge completed thus far in the Judge Michael Stephens administration, but that will soon change with the planned completion of a new bridge on Barnett's Creek Road, across the county, near Pellyton. CHS girls' freshmen basketball team wins 20th district championship 2017-02-03 - John Burr Memorial Gymnasium, 526 Indian Drive, Columbia, KY - Photo by Calen McKinney, Public Information Officer, Campbellsville Independent Schools (CIS). Campbellsville High School girls' freshmen basketball team won the 20th District tournament championship on Wednesday, Feb. 1, at Adair County High School. The team defeated Taylor County in the first round, by a score of 33-23. In the championship game, CHS defeated Marion County in a very close game by a score of 39-38. Anthony Epps is in his first year as CHS girls' basketball head coach. Assistant coaches are Katie Wilkerson, Natalia Warren, George Eon and Debbie Gowdy-Smith.
