A photo of daffodils blooming on Lampton Lane led reader Steve Coomer to question how such a clean spot, free of litter, could be found the scenic shortcut. Though the road is one of the cleanest in the county, Mr. Coomer is right that there is far too much. Even this pretty scene has a visible wrapper scene in it. What can be done? Obviously it's not a major issue for enough people right now. The legendary figure, former Solid Waste Director A.L. Sinclair, always took a kinder approach to the subject. Not predicated on punishment, but on education, and it was working. In his tenure, Adair County was easily one of the cleanest counties in Kentucky. Not anymore writers say.
