Jackie & Dorothy Johnson back home in Cumberland County

2017-02-19 - Public Square, Burkesville, KY - Photo by Ed Waggener, Columbiamagazine.com(c) .
Jackie Johnson had made many trips in his prized 1955 210 Chevy V8 back to visit Cumberland County until this last year when he retired and brought his wife Dorothy to live full time in their native home. When they married, he at 19 and she at 16, "forty-some years ago" they went to Louisville to make their living. They raised two kids there and now have three grandchildren and one great grandchild, all of whom, Dorothy said, "live in the Louisville area and all begging us to move back there again." They have options and a cool ride to do their thinking in. Today was a perfect one to have the windows down and enjoy the view. -- LW
