Signage: Knifley, not Knifely - but extry 'l' in Rolley

There a bit of confusement - heretofore uncited by the Knifley Roundtable at Casey Creeks version of Spaghetti Junction. The arrows are right, and Knifley is spelled right. But "Rolley" is a variant of Roley which was new to the CM team. By any spelling it's mighty pretty country in March. - EW

Scenic Cumberland Co., KY: Flying Fish art, Burkesville, KY


2017-03-03 - Cumberland Co. Judicial Center, Burkesville, KY - Photo by Linda Waggener, ColumbiaMagazine.com (c). These high flying whimsical fish sculptures are part of the street scene in art-rich downtown Burkesville, KY. They were the result of brainstorming sessions which included Burkesville artists Pat Ritter and Charlotte Cash and Cumberland County Library Director Liza Turner. Ritter and Cash in turn collaborated with Gradyville, KY sculptor David Waltz. The whole project was completed in August 2014. Preschool students learn about money at CES

CES preschool students recently learned about money. In Denise Spencer's class, students recently read a book about coins and bills and learned how much each is worth. Students also learned that people use money to purchase items at stores.To get some practice, students took turns "buying" items at the classroom grocery store. - Calen McKinney
