Nubian (?) Burros, or Christian Donkeys, Flemingsburg, KY
2017-03-07 - Fleming County, KY - Photo by Robert Ellis (c) . Took this pic of the burros a few weeks ago while visiting friends in the Flemingsburg area. One of the friends referred to them as the "Christian Donkey," because of the distinct cross displayed on their backs...as viewed from above; and as legend has it they were the type of Donkey that Christ rode on, hence the cross markings. At any rate, beautiful creatures they are! - ROBERT ELLIS
