CHS students create Pop Art - Alli Wilson paints Kanye West

Campbellsville High School freshman art student Alli Wilson paints her Pop Art drawing of Kanye West. CHS are making their own Pop Art.
Students in Jo Ann Harris’s art classes have been studying Peter Max’s artwork.
Max is a German-born American illustrator and graphic artist, known for the use of psychedelic shapes, cosmic imagery and bright color palettes.
His early work, from the 1960s, appeared on posters and was seen on the walls of many college dorm rooms across America.
He is described as a Pop Artist, as a surrealist and a neo-expressionist.
Pop Art is an art movement that emerged in the mid-1950s and uses imagery from pop culture.
Harris’s students created their own works of art, using Pop Art styling and Max’s style of using bright colors and psychedelic shapes. - Calen McKinney

2nd grader Hannah Kotter is ACPC Principal for the Day

Hannah Kotter, a 2nd grade student in Mrs. Kelly Robertson's class at Adair County Primary Center, got the job of being Principal for the Day on Wednesday, March 8. She received this position after earning 475 Accelerated Reader points in the school's literacy program. She is pictured with Ms. Patty Jones, who is normally the principal at ACPC, and also pictured hard at work in her office for the day.
