Maybe it's because the three gables, in somewhat the same style as my childhood home in Sulphur Well, KY, allows a comforting wave of nostalgia to sweep over me. Whatever, I'm always warmed by the sight of this beautiful old house in Glens Fork, especially noticing how handsome it is when approaching Glens Fork from the south. - LW

Columbia Girl Scouts donate 900 Boxtops for Education at ACPC

Girl Scout Troop #896, Columbia, KY continues to celebrate the 105th birthday of GSUSA during the month of March. Yesterday, Tuesday, March 21, 2017, the girls donated over 900 Boxtops for Education to ACPC and helped to lead the Pledge of Allegiance during the school's morning assembly. The boxtops will be used to purchase more playground equipment. The girls enjoyed ice cream sundaes as a result of their work. Pictured in no particular order are Laramie Baldwin, Mariah Kelsay, Pixie Dial, Courtney Henson, McKinlee Stone, Kantlee Harvey, Brayleigh Hargrove, Braylynn Hargrove, Malloree Kimbler, Brandy Hargrove, Annita Barnett, and ACPC employee, Tara Coomer.
