Saturday morning found the downtown crowd at the corner of Merchant and Campbellsville Streets where the Farmers Market is now located. It grew out of its space on the square and has over forty booth spaces available as the season gets growing. Tents can be seen on the right, parking on the left at the Justice Center. Columbia City Hall is the two-story building just past the tents on the right at the corner of Reed and Campbellsville Streets, and in the top right corner are the Columbia Greens and Groves Apartments, 305 Trabue Street off Jamestown Street. Redbud is in bloom on the cliff above pool table flat, solid rock bed of Crocus Creek. More expert photographers could probably capture a seldom seen phenomenon, redbud blossoms reflected in the stream. The point is a few yards from a retention wall, the largest such project in the history of the Adair County Road Department, built in 2008 in the administrations of CJE Ann Melton and Gov.
