Community Garden offering raised bed plots until 15 May 2017

The Columbia/Adair County Community Garden is offering raised bed plots; 8 x 8 ft in dimension, for rent for the 2017 gardening season. Aside from use of the raised bed planter, subscribers will be provided with a variety of vegetable seeds and transplants with a retail value of at least $25, plant supports (trellises, stakes, etc.), and access to a shared set of garden tools and fertilizers.

Wild Dwarf Irises are in bloom in a number of areas. These were photographed on Thu 12 Apr 2017, for the record, the first reported on CM. Those with better photos are invited to share, give date, provide a general place for the location. On this date, the delightful little flowers were seen in greater abundance on Goose Creek Road, off US 127 just north of Dunnville, KY. - EW
