Robert Ellis: Calvary, Kentucky...Posing Horse

2017-04-16 - Marion County, KY - Photo by Robert Ellis (c) .
Was having a little trouble getting this horse to lineup with the yellow fields and centered within the trees...after fussing with changing lens and getting set up, this was the best pose the horse was willing to give... - ROBERT ELLIS. Western U.S.A. Stony Cliff-Like Stump, with Moss Forest Mesa

2017-04-16 - Along Gentry Mill Road, Adair County, KY - Photo by Linda Waggener, Columbia, KY (c).
It is perhaps a fleeting impression, but when first viewing this photo of a weathered decaying stump photographed in Adair County, KY, the picture conjures composite images of the American West. But it's really just a part of minding the beauty within the 403 sq. miles of the Adair County microcosm. Some believe that global travel broadens, but tends to have no depth, while attention to an endless universe in our own neighborhoods gives depth to the soul. Maybe this is an example. - EW

Robert Ellis: Calvary (KY) - Yellow Fields in Bloom!

2017-04-16 - Calvary, Marion County, KY - Photo by Robert Ellis (c).
While traveling around yesterday I took this photo around the Calvary Kentucky area. I'm guessing these are mustard greens in bloom....at any rate, makes for a nice contrasting color to the green foliage. - ROBERT ELLIS. Photo Sat 15 Apr 2017.
