Update: Missing 14 year old found safe by ACSO The Adair County Sheriff's Office is requesting the public's help in locating a missing-runaway juvenile. 14 year old Karlee Irvine was last seen looking for someone to give her a ride in the area of New Concord Road. She is a white female. With green hair, brown eyes, around five feet five inches tall, weighs approximately 150 to 160 pounds. Perhaps some of our ancestors prospered as Mayapple harvestors, picking the fruit as well as harvesting the roots. Some do eat the fruit when it's ripe but we're not recommending it or warning about it other than there are many warnings that the unripe fruit is slightly poisonous. Maybe not yet commercially viable as a fresh fruit or a jelly. But maybe as an exotic, very expensive Kentucky wine. Word is that an entrepreneur has been scoping Columbia as a potential location for a Kentucky-only wine store. There are plenty of Mayapples here, after all.
