Adair County High School member on the School Board Lauren McQuaide and Board Chair Lisa Burton listened intently to Tim Eaton, as he brought the joint session of the school board and superintendent search committee up to date on the search for a new superintendent. Ms. Burton, who is also chair of the search committee, read the charge to the screening committee before that committee met with Mr. Price to start reviewing applicant files. The screening committee is to recommend 5-6 candidates, the charge read, and the superintendent is to meet the following criteria: Be an outstanding education leader who is student centered with a proven record of improving student achievement; have administrative experience and be an instruction leader who is assessment and data driven; have the ability to effectively communicate with the staff and community and possess strong morals and ethics; have knowledge in budgeting and finance and facility planning, and have knowledge of the Kentucky education system. 'Take Back the Night' is an internationally recognized event with the goal of ending sexual, relationship and domestic violence in all forms. Campbellsville High School juniors Wyatt Houk (bottom left), Alex Doss (top left), Ryan Wiedewitsch (bottom right) and Bryce Richardson (top right) have been chosen to attend the Governor's Scholars Program this summer. And junior Madison Dial (top, middle) has been chosen as an alternate and may also attend the program. The students will attend programs at either Morehead State, Murray State or Northern universities for five weeks this summer. The students say they are excited for the opportunity to attend.
