Scenic Taylor Co., KY: Quaint pastoral scene

2017-04-27 - Tebbs Bend Road, Taylor County, KY - Photo by George Kolbenschlag.
Homeplace on Green River publicist George Kolbenschlag capture this pastoral scene almost what one might have seen from a Greyhound Bus Ride to Campbellsville, KY six or seven decades ago. The main road to Campbellsville has changed, but Tebb's Bend Road is much the same as it was in the 40's, 50's and 60's, with its spectacular views, the thrill bump beaus made sure their dates felt, and the cool passage down toward the river toward from Hi-Point (spelling, anyone?), and the cool drive down to the river and through the "iron bridge." up a meandering hill, on a road that meandered all the way into Campbellsville. The scene above is opposite the delightful Toll House, now used by the Tebb's Bend Battlefield group. - CM
