Revisiting the mural she helped initiate

One might mistake the lady in the center of the photo as one of the characters in the mural, but Sue Stivers was just stopping by to remember how she enjoyed working on its original organization with the late Phyllis Smith. The massive mural by local artists is a popular inspiration for all passing by. It was initiated when the two women worked together in the tourism commission to get federal grants for both counties. Their work resulted in the mural and in information stops in both Adair in Cumberland Counties, among other things.
