Before the Commonwealth built this intersection and re-routed Town Creek under it, traffic tie-ups were almost constant, and heavy rains could send the stream over Campbellsville Street, sometimes flooding buildings. Since its construction traffic flow has been accelerated, and flooding is non-existent. This photo was taken Sunday morning, May 28, 2017.
