The Spotted Lanternfly research shows the insect coming closer to Adair County. They look cute and happily colorful, but for agriculture they could mean Armageddon. A pest that once seemed like a problem for other states is now a Kentucky problem, and local residents are being asked to keep their eyes open before it becomes an Adair County problem. Report it. Adair County residents can help most by looking closely - especially on vehicles, outdoor equipment, tree-of-heaven, fruit trees and grapevines.
