ALA students try Virtual Welding

Students at the Adair Learning Academy try their hands at welding using virtual welding shields. Students have been able to virtually simulate techniques like metal arc welding (stick welding) and mig welding to determine their interest in the occupation, and to get answers to their questions about welding as a career.

Time to pack the house for Indians and Lady Indians

The student section from the Indians' last game against Taylor County. Trey says the upcoming games are "about much more than just the rivalry, as both your Indians and Lady Indians can get a leg up for post-season competition, while also beating their rivals!

So I ask you, let's bring back that Adair County Indian Energy, let's bring back the energy we brought to Green County and Lexington last year, let's bring a packed and loud house for your Indians and Lady Indians!"

LWC to begin construction of Regional Performing Arts Center

The regional performing arts center, which will be about 29,000 square feet, will include a main performance area, a rehearsal space that can double as a black box theatre and hold special events, and a lobby with offices. It will be located on the corner of Lindsey Wilson Street and Fairgrounds Street on the northwest side of campus.

New LWC Residence Hall to begin construction in 2025

The three-story residence hall will be built on the east side of campus, near Henry and Mary Ellen Lilly Hall. The 15,100-square-foot building will house a total of 48 students; each floor will have 16 students, lodged in four four-person apartment suites.

Quilt Guild meets at Adair Extension Office

Some members of this Quilt Guild have been meeting at the Adair Extension office since the 1990s. A couple of them bring their machines with them and some bring their work. As a rule, the group meets each second and fourth Tuesday of the month from 9am until 2pmCT. Everyone is welcome to join. There is also a group that meets at night. Pictured from left are: Jane Grant, Ada Handy, Darlene Lanning, Sue Hendrickson, Aline Babin, and Sue Henningsen.
