FM2 calls for volunteers and donations as program grows

Barbara Armitage, coordinator of Columbia's Farmers Market on the Square (FM2), presented a well-received program at the monthly Chamber of Commerce lunch meeting Tuesday, June 13, 2017. She broke down the numbers on how many pounds of food, how many eggs, etc., were consumed by kids last year and the projected numbers for the season getting underway now. She made a plea for monetary help for the program and for volunteers to help with the Farmers Market program.

Lots of sky, a busy night in Columbia

Almost every parking place on the Square and and on Greensburg Street and Campbellsville Street were taken, with the court in session, a busy night for the down restaurant open, visitation, a major special called meeting at City Hall, and minutes earlier, Wednesday night prayer meetings at Downtown churches. - Ed Waggener
