2017-07-12 - Baement, Adair Annex, 424 Public Square, Columbia, KY - Photo by Ed Waggener, ColumbiaMagazine.com(c). A proposal addressed at last night's Adair County Fiscal Court session, on Tuesday, July 11, 2011 was approved. It will provide a small stipend to Deputy CJE Andrea Waggener and HR Secretary Bridgett Compton to take over some of the duties of the current Solid Waste Coordinator, David Smith. Waggener said that Smith preferred not to have the administrative duties, the responsibility for finding and documenting illegal dumps, or attend Solid Waste Conferences. The arrangement will not affect the current budget, Waggener said, because overall funding will remain the same. David Smith will remain the Solid Waste Coordinator. - EW
