1933 Models: Bro. Lewis Haynes & Ivan Greer's Chevrolet 2017-08-16 - McDonalds of Columbia, Jamestown Street, Columbia, KY - Photo by Ed Waggener, ColumbiaMagazine.com(c). There was a special celebration this morning at McDonald's of Columbia, when Bro. Lewis Haynes, far left, received special recognition with a visit by Ivan Greer, next to Bro. Haynes, with his restored 1933 four door Chevrolet Sedan. Others, above, from left after Greer, Ralph Roy Waggener, Buddy Green, and Ralph Shearer. All are members of one of the many elite McDonald's coffee clubs. Bro. Haynes has retired after a long pastorate at Plum Point Baptist Church. He will be 85 on February 14, 2018. The car has been meticulously refinished, inside and out. Greer obtained it about two years ago in Ohio. It's a six cylinder model, with a three-speed-on-the-floor manual transmission, and with the six - it's remarkably quiet and peppy. The car will make an appearance at the next Re-Visit Knifley, Greer said. And, unlike many collectors who feign offense if someone asks to buy a car such as this, Greer says simply that $25,000 will buy it.
