My son, Hagen McQueary, and I took a nice walk to the Farmers Market on the Square earlier Saturday, August 26, 2017, and stumbled upon this turtle. Hagen spotted it and I took the picture. It was located in the edge of LWC campus across from The Extension Office on Fairground Street. I don't know much about turtles, but he looks like an old soul. In the type of iron grill recommended to him by Robert Flowers as, "the main one I use", my first husband Ed cooked up this artful creation. It includes healthy eggs with chipped onions and red peppers. That dark green center dividing line is made up of eat-at-your-own-risk jalapeno peppers. The skillet breakfast also includes the totally unhealthy, have-only-once-or-twice-a-year corned beef hash with, yes, a helping of course, ground black pepper sprinkled on top. Needless to say, it was sizzling hot to the taste buds! Campbellsville Middle School students are learning how to Be Proactive. In Andrea Gribbins's sixth-grade leadership class, students are studying the Seven Habits of Highly Effective People. Recently, students reviewed the first habit, which is to Be Proactive. Gribbins asked her students how they want to review the seven habits, and they chose to form teams and create presentations for their classmates. During a class period in which students learned about being proactive, students discussed how they can control how they react in situations. Students said they should think positively and be good role models for each other. At the end of the class period, students played a Kahoot! game to see who knows the most about the Seven Habits.
