Several key issues facing families were addressed by Kentucky's Attorney General Andy Beshear today at an event sponsored by the Lake Cumberland Area Family and Consumer Sciences Extension Educators. He provided handouts like the one at right on how to protect seniors from elder abuse and how to sign up to be alerted on scams and get early information on how to protect ourselves.

A Fire at 801 Page Street, Columbia, KY, totally destroyed this one family residence on Sunday night at 10:21pmCT, August 27, 2017. Twenty-one firemen answered the call were on the scene for 1.5 hours, - Donald Hare, Public information officer for the Columbia Fire Department, reports.
