The festival features a day of family activities including pony rides, a kiddies barrel train, ox cart, art and crafts vendors, butter making, colonial reenactors and much more. Homeplace on Green River will again host the dog show sponsored by the Taylor County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) at the Saturday, September 9, 2017 Homeplace on Green River Fall Festival, at HGR, 1765 New Columbia Road, Campbellsville, KY. The dog show will be among a long list of family activities including live music, wagon rides, a 800 foot long kiddies hay maze, a raptors show (bird of prey) including hawks and a bald eagle, arts and crafts sales, exhibition and displays, and eight food vendors. The only cost is a $10 per car parking fee and your food and arts and crafts purchases. Chasity Yarberry presented the case for the Downtown Days request for funding for the 2017 Downtown Days Festival, which will be held Friday, October 13, and Saturday, October 14, 2017. The Downtown Days Festival Committee is requesting $5,000 from the City. The council heard the request, but deferred action on it when reminded by Council Member Craig Lasley that there is a standing council rule that requests are not granted until a subsequent meeting after the presentation of the request. The matter will might be taken up in a special called meeting, possibly coinciding with another need.
