The card in the window reads, Artwork by Tim Smith, Professor of Art, and it is indeed the main attraction. But it is made even more interesting by the daytime second-by-second changes to the backdrop reflected in the windows. In the night, the backdrop mostly sleeps, changed only by traffic and dimming lights as businesses settle in for the night. Professor Smith's art, here, and in sculpture in the Columbia City Cemetery, the Col. Frank Wolford work, and at the Adair County Judicial Center, with the "Scales of Justice" is best viewed by close up and personal, on a walking tour. Miss Victoria, of Miss Victoria's Pampered Angus Ranch paid her regular call on the Farmers Market on The Square, FM2, and reported on bird problems in Greater Bliss, where 19 Wild Turkeys invaded her Hunter Place over the Flat Woods and proved very bothersome to the registered guests, her girls, the pampered Angus of the name. That's New Townie Joe Hare, seated. He does not grow a garden, as traditional townies are supposed to do. Any advice for Mrs. Vickie's Bird Problem would be appreciated. Miss Vicky was most proud of her initiation of the lighting of Pinewood Shopping Center when she called a high ranking Kwik Lube officer, who, in turn called a high ranking Pinewood SC officer, and almost immediately the lights came on and a bit of vandalism her 'girls' and she had been observing came to a halt. One of the most popular items at the Community Garden stand at FM2 Saturday, September 16, 2017, were the Ground Cherries. Dr. Mike Bosela told inquiring visitor new to ground cherries that for many people they are an acquired taste, and that most, on initial tasting, either like them or have an adverse reaction. We found them delightful, and neat to eat once one gets the hang of it, learning how easy it is the squeeze the husks, expel the glistening fruit, and consume. There's also the same satisfaction one gets from creating a biogradable pile of husks, similar to the pleasure of creating pistachio shells or crawdad shells.
