Near as we can tell, it's been seven years or so since Columbiamagazine.com shared Adair County's most famous bear, Hobart, shown in the photo drinking an orange soda pop held by his friend Haskin Coomer. The two are standing in front of the family business, Haskin Coomer and Son. Adair County Constable Joe Collins, above making a call from the scene of a serious one vehicle traffic accident last night at around 10:45pmCT, was at home on Campbellsville Road just north of Betty's OKCC restaurant, when the lights dimmed. "I knew something had happened, and made some calls and got the search and rescue over here to help with traffic control. When the picture was taken at 7:41am, Sunday morning 10 or so Taylor RECC workers left only an hour and one-half earlier, restoring power. Bull Run Road at Dwight Curry Road remained impassable this morning at 7:40amCT, Sunday morning September 17, 2017, as a result of a single vehicle auto crash which knocked out electricity on KY 206, Bull Run Road, and the Little Cake area. Adair County Constable Joe Collins, who was with the Search and Rescue since the accident last night at around 10:30pmCT, said the Kia Optima car left the highway at tracks here, went airborne, and traveled to the utilities poles in the center of the photo, and struck the broken pole on the right. He said that the occupants were able to extricate themselves and crawl back to the roadway at a point in front of of the location of ACSO Deputy Derek Padgett's cruiser. The young men in the vehicle were taken by Adair EMS to TJ Health/Columbia, KY. One of the occupants was airlifted to UL Medical Center in Louisville.
