Cleanup efforts underway to advance historic restoration

2017-09-19 - Public Square, Columbia, KY - Photo Old postcard picture from archives.
Volunteers are coming together tomorrow, 20 Sept 2017, to help with cleanup efforts underway to advance historic restoration and to enter Gov. Matt Bevin's contest to beautify the bluegrass. This picture shows the courthouse before the "wings" were built on and there is discussion about possibly removing them going forward. For now, however, due to budget restraints, baby steps are being taken to preserve and gradually restore the building. If you want to help win the contest and be included in the list of up to 200 volunteers invited to his BBQ meal, be at the Courthouse annex by 8:15amCT. -- Linda Waggener (volunteer tracking before and after work for contest entry and for posterity).

These may look like bread rolls, but there's no grain in the recipe shared in the accompanying article and how-to for Cloud Bread. Maury Lewis is enjoying success revising her menus to be more healthy, taking off some weight and being able to get off some medicines -- that makes her a health expert in my mind and I'm grateful she's sharing her methods! Click 'read more' below for the recipe. -- LW
