 2017-10-15 - Columbia/Adair County Fire Department, 200 Merchant Street, Columbia, KY - Photo by Charlie Crawhorn. The Columbia-Adair County Fire Department will be taking sealed bids on the following items:
1 - 6.5' x 7' garage roll up door - used interior only, but can be configured anyway
1-1976 Chevrolet Truck - Truck has 427 gas engine with a 5 speed manual transmission with a 2 speed rear end. We have used this truck since buying new for a tanker truck and have replaced it.
Bids for both items can be mailed to: PO Box 96, Columbia, KY 42728 or dropped off at our box at the Fire Department Station on Merchant Street in Columbia. Must be in by November 1, 2017.
We reserve the right to accept or reject any and/or all bids and contact the winner bidder on these on November 1, 2017, at our next regular business meeting. /s/ Donald Hare

Parnell family and employees celebrate 30 years of Mr. P
 2017-10-15 - Jeffersonville, IN - Photo One Southern Indiana economic development. Mr. "P" Express, Inc., the state of Indiana, the city of Jeffersonville and One Southern Indiana (1si) came together for the celebration of the thirtieth anniversary of Mr. "P" Express, Inc., an authorized truckload contract carrier for the continental U.S. and Canada. The event was held at their main facility at 801 Trey Street, Jeffersonville., Ind. Family members in front are Allen Parnell, center, holding the big ribbon cutting scissors, and to right, his wife Bunny and daughter Cynthia. They are surrounded by family, employees and officials present for the celebration which continued for three days.
