Darlene Franklin-Campbell to be at Adair Book Fair 4 Nov 2017 2017-11-01 - Adair County Public Library, 307 Greensburg Street, Columbia, - Photo from Mike Watson. Darlene Franklin-Campbell is an Adair County native and an award-winning author. Her work has been included in multiple publications, a few of which include Story South, River Walk Journal, Coal Country, Instructor Magazine and the New Madrid Literary Journal. Her poetry won the Mary Ballard Prize in 2012 and her young adult novel, I Listened Momma won the Predators and Editors award the same year. She is a member of the Elizabeth Maddox Roberts Poetry Society/ Darlene's novels include I Listened, Momma (Old Seventy Creek Press), Touched (Martin Sisters Publishing) and Looking for Pork Chop McQuade (Autumn Sky Press). She just released her first children's book, When I was a Kid in Kentucky. The Adair County Book Fair will take place this Saturday, November 4, 2017 at the Adair County Public Library, 307 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY, from 1pm to 3pmCT.
