Book Fair 2017: Bryan Baker with author Misty Lynne's work

Bryan Baker is the biggest fan and supporter of the author, his wife, Misty Lynne Rigsby Baker. Both are natives of Adair County who now live in Buckner, KY, near LaGrange. He said they met in first grade and he decided to marry her then. They went all the way through school together, graduated from Adair County High School, and now have three children who were at Grandma Jean Baker's during the Book Fair. He said he is an engineer and may do a little Photoshop work on her books, but she is the author.

Rollbacks from J & S Towing, left, removing a 2013 Toyota Scion, and Cody's Auto Sales, removing a 2015 Dodge Rogue, blocked the stretch above on the Heartland Parkway on Thursday, November 3, 2017, following a collision at around 7:30pmCT. Traffic was diverted onto Keltner Road during the injured evacuation and during the clean up phase. Both occupants of the Scion were injured and taken to TJ Health/Columbia. The driver was airlifted, later, from TJ to the the UL Medical Center, Louisville, KY. - EW

Weigh-in at the Kentucky High School Open

A crowd of parents and coaches gathered to watch teams weigh in at the end of the FLW Kentucky Open high school bass fishing tournament on Saturday, November 4, 2017. More than 180 high school bass fishing teams converged on General Burnside Island on Saturday to compete on Lake Cumberland.
First place went to Isaic Tackett & Chase Clark of Scott County, who landed 5 keeper bass weighing 9lbs, 15oz. The top local finisher was the team of Austin Plants & Tyler Warner of Lake Cumberland Bass Club, who finished in 6th place overall with 3 bass weighing a total of 6lbs, 10oz.

Counting blessings ahead of Thanksgiving: The neighbors' horses, whose entertainment comes at no cost to us; the fall color out our window, which requires no transportation cost to enjoy; and our wonder cat, Blue, whom we feed and fatten regardless of Daylight Savings time.
