Kayaking weather good on Green River 25 Nov 2017
2017-11-25 - Green River Lake - Photo by Mitzi McKinley Bault. I had to have some therapy today. Loaded up my kayak and met Robyn Curry at Snake Creek. Oh how the sun was wonderful. I came home to a mess, Christmas stuff all in boxes and on the floor. I really should have stayed at home getting stuff put up. But I had a better time on the water! -- MB

Crosswalk safety: these standing signs may help
2017-11-25 - Photo by Mary Ann Loy. This example of a standing sign in the middle of a crosswalk was provided as the City of Columbia studies ways to improve safety for pedestrians. Drivers are reminded that it is the law to yield to an individual within the crosswalk. Beyond the law, it's the neighborly thing to do. -- LW

Thanksgiving with the girls, Miss Vicky's Pampered Angus Ranch
2017-11-25 - Miss Victorias Pampered Angus Range, Greater Bliss, KY - Photo by Miss Vicky Pike Browning. Miss Victoria sent a Thanksgiving message on Thanksgiving Day, 2017. The message is still appropriate: "Happy Thanksgiving from the girls at the Pampered Angus Ranch." Amazing how the girls pose so perfectly on cue. (Or did Miss Vicky catch them watching the progress in Pinewood Shopping Center across Edmonton Road and/or taking a sigoggling look at the Lee's Famous Recipe site work in Holladay Place. Either way, Miss Vicky is convinced that the pampered Angus think the construction work is done purely for their entertainment.
