Flowers & Walker (Ray Flowers & Nat Walker), proprietors of the establishment, had been partners in store keeping for about a month when this announcement appeared in the December 9, 1914 News. Teachers traditionally passed out candy to their students on the last school day of the year, thus the note at the bottom of the ad.
