You can almost smell the chicken frying, imagine the hot biscuits coming out of the oven as the framework for Columbia's new Lee's Famous Recipe restaurant takes shape. 2018 will see a number of new businesses and services opening in the New Columbia area. Adair CJE Mike Stephens, a partner in the Pinewood Shopping Center says that business openings, already underway with Adair Kwik Lube in operation will come in quick succession in the early months of 2018. He's expecting more formal announcements within days, including the announcement of a new gas outlet in the center. - EW

Green Co., KY Jeep Cherokee retrieved on Cumberland Pkwy
 2017-12-31 - Cumberland Parkway, 39 MP, West of Columbia, KY - Photo Adair County Sheriff\\\'s Office. Lynn's Service Center retrieved a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee which flipped when the vehicle veered into the median, the operator overcorrected. The vehicle then slid out of control, striking the guard rail causing the vehicle to flip before landing on all four wheels. Photo Thursday, December 28, 2017.

Family blessings being counted as we prepare for New Year
