Paradise Moon: Full moon over Gradyville, Paradise, USA
2018-01-30 - Gradyville, Paradise, USA - Photo by Guy Babin. I don't know if it's totally full, nor if it's the exact subject of the moonscape news of recent reports - I do know, however; it's beautiful and worthy of our wonder. Appreciating the cosmos, and life, in Gradyville, Paradise, USA. Guy Babin

Election 2018 - Back to regular business. Candidate filing is over
2018-01-30 - Adair County Clerk Office, Ste 3, Adair Annex, 424 Public Square, Columbia, KY - Photo by Ed Waggener, ColumbiaMagazine.com. The filing deadline for candidates passed no fanfare, and not activity for the day. Latecomers at 4pmCT, today, January 30, 2018 were locked out, and Nadalie Inscho, who has been somewhat of the candidate filing specialist was back to closing out the day's work, as on a regular work day. The County Clerk's office tallies each day's activities, much as banks and businesses. The candidate filings will be reported to the Secretary of State's office, and will appear online as the Frankfort office catches up. - EW. 'Snowstorm' 29 Jan 2018: The cat who wouldn't budge
2018-01-30 - Columbia, KY - Photo by Linda Waggener, ColumbiaMagazine.com. This is a neighborhood cat who wouldn't budge, not when the flurries began, not when the temperature edged below freezing, not when the snowflakes suddenly got serious, not even with a gigantic vehicle approaching. Cats are like that. So the vehicle stopped. The driver smiled, raised the camera. Then the cat moved. Zen moment over. - LW

'Snowstorm' 29 Jan 2018: Windshielding the brunt of the storm
2018-01-30 - Milltown, Adair County, KY - Photo by Linda Waggener, ColumbiaMagazine.com. OK, not a total whiteout, but this 'snowstorm' is for the record, on January 29, 2018, taken when the weather didn't seem to know what it would do, on a trip in search of more crocus blooms. - EW
