2018-02-09 - Columbia, KY - Photo Photo by Doug Beard.
Watching the opening ceremonies of the Winter Olympics tonight and wishing a friend, Heather Moyse, a victory in her division. She's a great person and super athlete. I hope she takes the gold medal in Korea. But, I'm backing a total USA domination of the games and complete victory in the medal count. - Doug Beard Original photo posted by Doug Beard on ColumbiaMagazine.com on April 23, 2018, from Braniff, Alberta, Canada.

Columbia Post Office greeter still on the job

2018-02-09 - U.S. Post Office, 800 Burkesville Street, Columbia, KY - Photo by Linda Waggener, ColumbiaMagazine.com.
This Post Office greeter, first pictured Monday, was still on the job today, Friday, 9 February 2018. Candy Flowers said he doesn't come every day but when he does, he goes toward every patron as if he's searching for a particular one, then backs off if anyone attempts to get him to go home with them. The speculation is that he must live around the Columbia Post Office somewhere. Best they can tell, his collar doesn't have any identification on it. If anyone has information, it would be greatly appreciated.
