Proud winners of annual Cub Scout Pack 888 Pinewood Derby
 2018-02-17 - First Church of the Nazarene, 1200 Jamestown Street, Columbia, KY - Photo by Mark Coleman. These big smiles resulted from winning the Cub Scout Pack 888 Pinewood Derby. The annual event was held Saturday afternoon, 17 February 2018 in the Church of the Nazarene Wheet Fellowship Hall in Columbia. Twenty-one boys participated in the double elimination race. The top three finishers were, from left: Will Reynolds (3rd place), Ethan Estep (2nd place), and Ty Coleman (1st place).

ACFD draws big crowd with candidate forum, chili supper, auction

The Adair County Fire Department, raising funds for 2018 WHAS Crusade for Children, held a Candidate Forum, Chili Supper, and Auction, Saturday, February 17, 2018 drawing a capacity crowd. All political candidates were given time to speak and space on the wall of the department to post their signs. All proceeds from the evening will go to the 2018 WHAS Crusade for Children. Emery, Henderson and Mobley are winners in CU pageant

Winners in the annual Valentine Pageant tonight at Campbellsville University were Cassie Emery, center, Queen; Maiya Henderson, right, first runner-up, and Rebekah Mobley, left, second runner-up. Emery represented Baptist Campus Ministry and is a junior from Cloverport, Ky. Henderson is a freshman from Bowling Green, Ky., and she represented the Black Student Association. Mobley is a sophomore from Elizabethtown, representing the Office of Enrollment Services. Emery will represent Campbellsville University in the annual Kentucky Mountain Laurel Festival in Pineville, Ky., May 24-27.
