What faith. Easter, Sunday, April 1, 2018 this year in our world, was another 33 days away and this floral ensemble seemed to trumpeting anthems of the risen Savior. This group may not even be around then. Without apologies to some who think plants do not have personalities, and that this is a fanciful concept, we think that just maybe, a century or so from now, it may be commonplace to embrace that concept. While it is not entirely new, a Sierra Club article, Yes, Animals Have Personalities—And They’re Altering Wildlife Biology, gives license to the notion that animals have personalities, even if many holy men argue they do not have souls. The latter may be in the minority. Few dog and cat lovers can embrace a heaven - or a separate paradise, without them in paradise. Mema couldn't have. Whatever you call it, it's such a delightful groundcover. These, fortunately, had escaped - or survived herbicides. Seen while in search for show of plum thickets and hints of redbud, but neither were to be seen on the this part of Adair County. (The hint of redbud was seen on Hurt Street, along daffodil-dappled right-of-way on KY 55 S Road, and all over beautiful Joppa, Montpelier, Acree Road, and White Oak Church Road. Turns out, the hint was the reflected glory of a gift box package. The City of Columbia Sidewalk Committee continues to meet and fine tune plans for improvement, focusing on the most in need streets first. Greensburg Street is a priority as it is the main walkway for school children mornings and afternoons. Their safety is a priority. When I was young, my Grandmother Marcum called these flowers March Lilies, and referred to them as 'doubles,' even though the number of petals, once they open, amount to dozens, not double the regular Daffodil bloom.
