Growing Problem: Missing Co. Road Signs - What's the answer? 2018-03-04 - Providence Road at White Oak Church Road, Adair County, KY - Photo by Ed Waggener, Columbia, KY. The Providence Road sign at its intersection with White Oak Church Road is missing. Sadly, vandalized and stolen sign incidents are on the increase. We wonder if anyone has an inventory of missing signs? If that information is in the data bank at 9-1-1? What Adair County Fiscal Court plans to do about it? What law enforcement could do to prevent theft of the signs? Is this a campaign issue in any races? The vandalism is costly. The last estimate we had of replacement cost was approximately $80 per sign. Providence Road connects White Oak Church Road with Providence Church Road on the East side of Adair County. A noble, well behaved ever vigilant dog waited outside Betty's at Breakfast time on Tuesday. Since I don't know it's name I can only say that it is not a "true" grass, in my opinion. Just to the right of the plant in question is "Wild Onion" which as we all know comes back each year from below ground bulbs. As you can see from the picture of the roots of what I believe to be the same plant from my yard, it also regenerates from bulbs. I never had the plant in my yard until I made a clandestine, late afternoon run to move some rich, Russell Creek, bottomland soil into one of my flowerbeds.
