Red & Green (with a little yellow) colors of Adair in Spring
2018-03-05 - McGaha, Adair County, KY - Photo by Linda Waggener, ColumbiaMagazine.com. When I see red, I used I think of my Dad, E.P. Waggener, who, with no political or athletic association to the color, was partial to it on an aesthetic basis. I remember he would tell me I could have any color Schwinn so long as it was red. "Red is the prettiest color there is," he would say. I think he would have approved of the red themed bridges prevalent in Adair County now. Though I never remember him owning a red truck or car, I think he would have liked this scene very, very much. When we saw the red pickup coming around the corner, we wished for a string of red vehicles, of any kind going up the road toward the Millerfields. - EW
