Wickliffe, KY - (14 Mar 2018) - Chickasaw dancers will present traditional songs and dances and guests can learn about other aspects of Chickasaw life on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at Wickliffe Mounds State Historic Site, Wickliffe Mounds State Historic Site, 94 Green Street, Wickliffe, Ballard County, KY along the Mississippi River's Great River Road National Scenic Byway. The performances will be at 10:30amCT, 1pmCT and 3pmCT at the park . Chickasaw cultural demonstrations of stickball games, flute music, drums, bow and arrows, regalia and storytelling will be offered throughout the day. Food will also be available at the park. Campbellsville High School teacher Lauren Bennett helps sophomore Siera Owens tape her 3D cell membrane together. CHS students are making three-dimensional models in their biology classes. Lauren Bennett's students are studying the cell membrane, and learning to identify the parts and their functions. As an activity, Bennett asked her students to make 3D models of a cell membrane. Students were given the parts of a cell membrane printed on pieces of paper, and then cut them out and glued them together. The utility work on the Burkesville Street Phase of the Downtown Project has now reached Tutt Street/Ky 2287. According to Lenny Stone, Columbia/Adair Utilities District, quoting inspector Joe McGeorge at the CAUD March 8, 2018 meeting, the project is now just 50 feet from its midpoint, which would in the frontage of Dog Gone Classy. In Jo Ann Harris's class, students are discussing techniques artists use when they want their work to appear as if the subject is moving. As an exercise, students are drawing pieces to show motion, from trees to cars to sports and more.
