Pi Day celebrated: most digits, best looking and best tasting 2018-03-16 - Adair County Public Library, 307 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY - Photo by Maggie Coleman. We celebrated Pi Day at the library with both a competition to recite the most digits of Pi and a competition for the best-looking and best-tasting pie! Stephanie Archey won the Pi competition with 198 digits! Emma Peterson won the best-looking Pi and Isaiah Warren won the best-tasting pie. Lindsey Wilson College junior, Goabaone "Ernest" Mosheleketi, will participate in the Commonwealth Games in Australia April 4-14, 2018 to represent Botswana in triple jump. He said learning about life at LWC as a transfer student is very different to prior schools. He credits Lindsey, and coaches like Jamaine Gordon, for the lesson that everything you do in life has to be taken seriously. He said the teachers are good and understanding which will help him get his degree and become a good coach and teacher in future. ACHS students took action this week to add emphasis to the message to stop the violence in schools. These young women who had time to stop and share details of the school's Tuesday event made it clear the ACHS walkout was not about guns, and it was not about politics. It was, and will continue to be, about keeping the subject of stopping violence in schools on the forefront of the conversation locally and nationally. It is about putting disagreements aside and working together, peacefully, for a solution.
