Willis: Takes over the sidewalk

"I weeded until I was along-side Willis and mildly tendered a suggestion that he move to another section of the walk so I could continue working. In response Willis rolled onto his back, then appeared to subside at the edge of the walk. I edged tentatively into the space beside him only to be smacked by a swift right hook. I sputtered indignantly; Willis glared through a slitted eye, then calmly resettled himself, blocking my way." - SHARON WHITEHURST

Sophomore Patrick Walker completes Microsoft Office certification

Campbellsville High School sophomore Patrick Walker recently completed Microsoft Office industry certification. As of Tuesday, March 20, 2018, Walker has passed Certiport exams in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint to obtain Microsoft Office Specialist industry certification. He will now work toward completing expert level certifications. Sonya Kessler is the computer science teacher at CHS.

Teachers rally for pensions, against SB 1

Teachers Debbie Bradshaw and Angie Neat, rallied at ACES at the bus drop off yesterday morning, Tuesday, March 20, 2018. TODAY, Wednesday, March 21, 2018, the rally was to have been at the bus drop off at Adair County High School, 526 Indian Drive, Columbia, KY, but school has been canceled for today, due to the snow.

At the Columbia/Adair County EDA meeting

The three at left participated in a six-hour Retail Academy marketing research intensive recently and gave highlights of the experience at the EDA meeting. From left are Andrea Waggener who represented Fiscal Court, EDA Chairman Mark Dykes, and Tiffany Kessler who represented the City of Columbia in the training. At right is Jeff Biggs who attended the meeting in support of the Adair County Fair proposal for a new location in the industrial park across the road from the Little League field.
