New officers were selected last week for the Student Government Association (SGA) 2018-2019 school year at Lindsey Wilson College. From left are: Patrick Adkins, Treasurer; Airada Bricker, Vice President; Jakob Beckley, President; and Payton Veraldi, Chief of Staff. Beckley said he is, "excited to serve fellow classmates in the upcoming year, the team will work hard to improve our campus."

Mema & Grandad are deeply grateful to the Columbia Post Office for hanging onto this little card and delivering it to the neighborhood, even though there's no box at 121, when they could easily have tossed it in the 'return to sender' file. Our six-year-old Tillie would have been very disappointed if that had happened and we might not have known about her art work and her grown-up mailing effort. To our good neighbor Sandy, it meant so much that you helped the Post Office get it to just the right Mema and Grandad. We'll help Tillie with her addressing for next time and meanwhile just wanted to affirm the great people of this town who take extra time and care with each other. -- Ed and Linda Waggener

Site work on the re-routing of U.S. 127 in Russell County, above, indicates to an extent, where the super road will swing west for a crossing over the Cumberland River some three miles west of the present crossing on Wolf Creek Dam. Organ donors give the gift of life

Terrie, a donor mom whose son Sheldon saved several lives, is among the faces of families that have helped embody hope. Every April, the Kentucky Circuit Court Clerks' Trust for Life along with the entire United States celebrate National Donate Life Month. This a time to focus national and local attention on every individual's power to make life possible by registering his or her decision to be an organ and tissue donor and learning more about living donation.

The competition included 27 teams made up of 68 students.
